A reinforced conveyor belt comprises a body of flexible matl., a no. of parallel tension resisting tendon members extending through and embedded in body of flexible matl., each of tendon members including a core portion having relatively great resistance to elongation and a flexible jacket means sealingly enclosing core portion in body of flexible matl.
