Abstract

The tube is clamped onto the male termination fitting. This fitting has progressively towards its outer extremity, a shoulder (14) a cylindrical portion (24) to act as a guide, an annular groove (15) with a toroidal sealing ring, a second cylindrical portion smaller in diameter than the first and an annular groove (18) in which is housed a split toroidal ring (17). The form in the female is similar but the portion between the two cylindrical portions is conical (23), and after the second portion is a larger diameter, presenting an internal shoulder. When joined, the split ring locks inside this shoulder and holds the sealing ring against the conical surface.
