Abstract

The portable power saw is for the cutting open of thick cardboard boxes and is typically an 'L' sectioned guide frame with a rotating disc arranged normal to and able to traverse either to the 'L' legs. The tool is designed for cutting cardboard greater than 10mm thickness. It can utilize a reciprocating or rotating blade which can also be positioned within the intersection of the 'L' leg normal to the cutting disc axis extends to form a base plate (3) support for the motor (4) and a handgrip (9). The assembly embodies facilities for adjusting depth and angle of cut and the distance between the blade and its parallel guide face (1).
