Abstract

Polymeric polyamines for use as curing agents for polyurethane prepolymers and epoxy polymers, and also as chain extension components, e.g. with diisocyanates, dieposades or org. dicarboxylic acids, have the formula (I): (where R is the hydrocarbyl part of an aromatic diisocyanate; G is the residue of a polyol after removing the terminal hydroxyl groups; and n is a number between 1 and a number required to give a polyamine with a mol. wt. of 500-5000). (I) are liquids that can be mixed easily with polyurethane prepolymers without use of solvents and remain liquid for long periods at room temp.
