Abstract

A circular disc, fixed to one end of a driven shaft is located inside the coupling casing. The shaft bearing sleeve placed in a housing on the coupling cover can be axially moved by operating a spring loaded forked lever. When the lever is actuated, the friction ring on the coupling disc comes into contact with the flywheel on the motor shaft, hence it transmits the rotation. When the lever is released a return spring shifts the coupling disc shaft towards the spring loaded brake ring on the inside of the coupling cover. It is possible to adjust the spring pressure of the brake ring by means of a set screw on the outside of the coupling case.
