Abstract

Frame for doors and gates consists of two side pieces and an upper bar formed from sheet metal profiles. The profiles are held together at the frame corners by plate slit connections with the slit running at right angles to the side piece. The plates are introduced into the slit and both ends of the sheet metal parts containing them and projecting over the slit are bent over the corner and the other sheet metal part. The sheet metal parts provide reinforcement. If required further securement can be provided in the corner regions by the use of screws or turnbuckles etc.
