Abstract

Appts for dissolving a gas miscible in a liq. prod comprises a centrifugal pump with a spiral casing and a feed assembly for the gas; this includes at least one nozzle opening inside the pump in the neutral zone which is at the periphery of a paddle-wheel where the liq. prod. starts to be subjected to an increasing press., due to its proection into the spiral casing. This neutral zone is used for facilitating the dissolving of the gas by the large exchange surface produced by the agitation of the fluids in the presence of an increasing compression, so that a high level of soln is attained. The gas enters at the inlet of a control unit; it reaches the feed assembly via pipes. The paddle-wheel is driven by a shaft, while the liq. leaves the pump by an outlet. A prefs use is the oxygenation, or re-oxygenation of waste or polluted water.
