Abstract

Anode comprises a sintered Ti substrate with a large no. of cavities in it; a first MnO2 coating on the substrate deposited over the whole surface of the substrate by complete thermal decompsn. of an aqs. soln. of Mn(NO3)2; and another MnO2 coating electrolytically deposited on the first coating, whereby the anode is insol. in a water contg. acid bath and displays good electrical characteristics.
