Abstract

High frequency filter system consists of a section of waveguide divided into N adjacent resonators by N + 1 pairs of cylindrical separators. There are preferably four resonators. Each filter section has coupling adjustment, consisting of metal screws which can be moved into the interior of the waveguide. Such screws are arranged along the length of the waveguide parallel to the separator cylinders and midway between the two walls having the smallest dimension. Five adjustable screws are provided to control coupling between the adjacent resonators and five to adjust the frequency acceptance of the resonators over a wide range of frequencies.
