Abstract

A cylindrical reservoir has a conical base section whose axial position is adjustable and which is asymmetrical about the axis, with a calibrated orifice and shutter above a disc spinning on a vertical shaft coaxial with the cylinder. On this disc a horizontal scraper blade is rested at an adjustable angle to the radical direction through the axis. The speed of the motor driving the disc is also adjustable and is esp. regulated by a closed loop servo system whose control input signal is derived from a sensor for the rate of out put of the powder below adding hopper contg. thee spinner.
