Abstract

A mirror support (1) is threaded at its end and goes through the support (2). Nut (6) secures the support via two rigid washers (7) and (8) pressing on spring wasers (4) and (5). This gives a firm fixing, which is vibrationless, but, due to the compressibility of the spring washers, does not prevent the support turning under shock without breakage, neither does it destroy the sealing. Alternative forms cover a bush pressed into a solid type housing, the support arm being fixed through the bush which is itself flexible (unlike the solid housing). Another alternative covers a stepped flexible bush on which the support arm is mounted. The mounting is particularly for bicycles, three wheeled motor vehicles etc.
