Abstract

The mounting block has a central through passage which puts in communication the chambers which open onto opposed faces of the block. The walls of the chambers are formed by bellows type sleeves whose closed free ends are attached to mounting plates. The chambers are filled with liquid and the free ends are attached to fixed surfaces. The shock absorber is particularly for use in the mounting of engine blocks and the design is such that the chambers are substantially unresponsive to radial shocks.
