Abstract

The patent covers a device which allows the strap to move under a small force, but to lock when a large force is applied . It improves the efficiency and reliability of the original patent. The strap passes over the three rollers in S formation, the peripheries of the rollers overlapping. Outside the device the strap is taken through a buckle, fixed to the vehicle body. Various methods can be used for moving the central roller to a position allowing adjustment or locking the strap securely against heavy or sudden loads. The centre roller is of a larger diameter than the other two.
