Abstract

A lever, which may tilt around a fixed point approximately one third of its length, has a pedal on one of its ends and is hinged on the other to a rod (3). The end of this rod is locked inside a sleeve. Another rod, connected to the W.C. cover, is fitted to the other side of the sleeve. The return of the cover to its original position is effected when foot is withdrawn from pedal, under the cover's own weight.
