Abstract

The container is held on a platform which is hinged and can be inverted. Pneumatic cylinders actuate the platform and the entire handling arrangement is carried on a pair of 'A' frames made from suitable sized channel. The discharge from the container is controlled by an orifice and in the case of powder material to be emptied a vibrator may be fitted before the orifice. The mechanism allows large containers to be emptied without the need for manhandling and can be used for containers of any shape. The containers may be emptied of liquids, powders or granules.
