Abstract

A grill, e.g. metal wire mesh is embedded in bonding material which is sandwiched between two panes of glass, the bonding material comprising a sheet, e.g. of silicon rubber film, on which the grill is fixed. Two bonding sheets can be used, each carrying a set of parallel metal wires which cross the other set to form the grill; the wires can be on adjacent faces of the sheets so that wires touch where they cross, or on remote faces to be insulated from each other.
