Abstract

Device has a central cone placed in the flow of the liq. The inlet channel ends in a nozzle which increases the press. of the current and creates turbulence in the body of the evacuation outlet; this has an increased dia. to prevent any back-flow through the inlet holes for the gas behind the nozzle. In operatio the press. increase caused by the removable nozzle causes a reduced press. in the outlet channel; this draws the gaseous component through the inlet holes. Device can be constructed in two parts from materials such as steel, cast iron and plastics. It can also deal with semi-fluids, such as cement, sand and flour and can be used for the purificn., sterilisation and disinfection of polluted water by ozone, air or chlorine as well as for the biological and chemical purifcn. of waste water and sewage.
