Abstract

Soldering/brazing material in the form of shaped pieces, coatings or pastes contains (I) a polymethacrylate binder, (II) a carrier material, and/or (III) a flux. I is an alkyl methacrylate with a 1-9C alkyl gp. or a copolymer of two different methacrylates, and has a mol wt of 25,000-250,000. The material contains 1-30 esp. 2-20 wt.% I. The material is prepd by mixing I, II and/or III in an org. sheet. Good stability, strength and elasticity. Does not leave a residue or form fumes or bubbles during use.
