Abstract

Porous brick is made by mixing the unfired clay with expanded resin granules and drying and firing. Pores may be of any size but are pref. large. Pref. each granule of resin is coated with clay during mixing. Mix is moulded in vibrated moulds. Bricks are suitable for use in thermal and acoustic insulation panel sandwiched between layers of concrete, plaster, etc., lightweight construction blocks etc.
