Abstract
The heat supplied to the generator of an absorption refrigeration plant is automatically regulated to prevent excessive boiling which would entrain weak solution into ammonia vapour passing to the condenser, reduce the strength of the refrigerant and thus the efficiency of the plant. The automatic regulator responds to combined temp. signals from the outlet of a coil cooled by the evaporator, and the outlet of a cooling coil passing through the absorber and, in this way, is particularly effective in dealing with sudden reductions in refrigeration load.
