Abstract

In an appts. for the destruction of i.c. engine exhaust gas toxic components using catalysts in a chamber traversed by a mixture of the exhaust gas with air, a number of detachable chambers are mounted one behind the other in the direction of gas flow in a common envelope, chambers having a catalyst zone alternating with and followed by chambers with a turbulent zone.
