Abstract
In a process, described in parent patent, where a compsn. is sprayed on bundles and networks of electric wires or cables as a flexible coating to hold them together, the wires and cables are coated first by spraying with a rubber suspension to give a non-adherent layer on the insulation, and then coating by spraying a thixotropic soln. of adiprene with a hardener, which adheres to the first coating. A self-extinguishing agent, pref. antimony oxide or chlorinated paraffin, is pref. added to the second coating. The coatings bind the wires or cables into an assembly which is easily manipulated and bent to any contour. For making wiring looms for use in aircraft, automobiles, and space vessels.
