Abstract

In an anti-rise and fall device forming type of boat, comprising (a) a tool-carrying cable controlled by a winch and an anchoring cable fixed to one of its ends at a level fixed w.r.t. the sea bed; (b) a block for a pulley supporting the anchoring and tool carrying cables respectively, the arrangement also contains (c) >=1 guide and deflector element fxed w.r.t. the ship, each for the anchoring and tool-carrying cable respectively for deflecting these out of the vertical, (d) a non-vertical path of displacement for the pulley block, and (e) drive fixed to the deck of the ship exerting a force on the pulley block assembly having at least a horizontal component in order to tension the cables.
