Abstract

Biotechnical prepn. of rhamnose contg. glycolipides is carried out by aerobic cultivation of a rhamnose contg. glycolipide producing Pseudomonas bacterium in an aqs. nutrient medium contg >=1 assimilable carbon source, at pH 4-10 and 25-37 degrees C. The prods. are used as emulsifying agents or in drugs. The carbon source is pref. a 10-20C n-paraffin.
