Abstract

Oxytetracycline is produced by fermenting a nutrient broth under aerobic conditions at 22-30 DEG C. by the mutant Streptomyces alboflavus M-108-OX (NCIB No. 9453; ATCC No. 15388) and isolating the oxytetracycline formed, preferably by precipitation as a complex with N,N1-dibenzyl-ethylenediamine.
