Abstract

Composite panels of layers of concrete and of insulation such as expanded polystyrene, in which tie bars are sheathed with pref. a heat shrunk thermoplastic jacket over the portions which enter the insulation layer. Allows mild steel ties to be used instead of costly corrosion resistant metals for suitable applications.
