Abstract

A central refrigeration compartment is provided for the pastries and similar prods; at least one circulation unit is placed on one side of the upper portion of the central compartment for passing cooling air through the latter. At least one other circulation unit is arranged on the other side of the central compartment, opposite the lower portion of the latter, likewise for circulating the cooling air. Both the circulation units are mounted in a common closed circuit through which the cooling air circulates. The new arrangement enables the height of the refrigerator to be reduced whilst maintaining the useful height of the cooling compartment; at the same time, mfr. is simplified. The central compartment receives the movable trolley which contains the trays for supporting the pastries to be cooled. The circulation units include fans and evaporators while the refrigeration units are located outside the refrigerator.
