Abstract

The oscillating matrix is mounted in a holder which can oscillate at a given angle in any direction because of a swivel mounting. The compressive matrix is in two parts each of which is powered individually by pistons. This enables favourable pressures to be exerted on the front surface of the object either by compression with each part consecutively or with both parts simultaneoulsy. May be used for objects which have a small thickness compared to their dia. in steel, Al, Cu, alloys etc. or plastics or powdered metals.
