Abstract

Packaging narrow objects between a sheet of rigid plastic material and a thermoplastic film which is oriented mono-axially along the axis of the support sheet by welding the film to the support sheet at intervals and then heat shrinking the film, selectively, to suit the profile of the packed article. Discloses a suitable (PTFE) conveyor system for the sealing and shrinking operations.
