Abstract

Filter is of type with head having inlet and outlet and containing a filter cartridge in a filter unit. The unit is internally subdivided into a pair of chambers, which are respectively in communication with the inlet and outlet sides, and each having normally closed drainage pipes through which water or other contaminant liquids may be removed. Head may be integral with a cylinder block, or separate, and filter may be used for combustible liquids etc.
