Abstract

The assembly comprises a body, in which the electrode is fixed, and a water-cooled torch head attached to the body and surrounding the electrode. The torch head is easily detached from the body, while remaining connected to its cooling supply and, if required, to the electric current. The torch head can be used for constricted arc plasma welding, or arc-welding in a gaseous flux, as required.
