Abstract

Pneumatic tyres are produced from a number of superposed carcass layers with cross-biased reinforcing cords, where each carcass layer includes a number of contiguous cords which are disposed at a small bias angle with respect to the periphery of the tyre and cords which are compressed longitudinally and embedded in rubber are relaxed during formation of the typre.
