MENETELMÄ. SEOSAINEKOMPONENTIN VALMISTAMISEKSIMETHOD. FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF AN ALLOY COMPONENT
Tämä keksintö kohdistuu seosainekomponentin valmistamiseksi, erityisesti kun kyseessä on seosaineena käytettävän nikkeliraaka-aineen valmistus sulfiäisistä materiaaleista. This invention relates to the preparation of an alloying component, in particular to the production of a nickel raw material for use as an alloying agent from sulphate materials.
Valmistettaessa ruostumattomia teräksiä käytetään seos-aineena mm. kromia ja nikkeliä. Kromi saadaan teräkseen edullisesti esimerkiksi käytettäessä valmistuksen lähtöaineena ferrokromia, koska kromin osuus ruostumattomassa teräksessä on yleisesti suurempi kuin nikkelin. Nikkeli lisätään tavallisesti teräksen konvertointikäsittelyn yhteydessä esimerkiksi metallisena, oksidisena tai ferro-nikkelinä. Seosaineena käytettävä nikkelioksidi ja ferro-nikkeli valmistetaan lähtien oksidisista materiaaleista. Metallinen nikkeli sen sijaan valmistetaan yleisesti lähtien sulfiäisistä raaka-aineista. Tuotteiden raaka-aine-erot johtuvat pääasiassa raaka-aineissa olevista muista komponenteista, joista saatava hyöty määrittää edullisen valmistustavan. Lisäksi raaka-aineissa olevat epäpuhtauspitoisuudet, kuten kupari, ovat tärkeitä edullisen valmistuksen aikaansaamiseksi. In the production of stainless steels, e.g. chromium and nickel. Chromium is preferably obtained from steel, for example by using ferrochrome as a starting material for the manufacture, since the proportion of chromium in stainless steel is generally higher than that of nickel. Nickel is usually added during the steel conversion treatment, for example as metallic, oxide or Ferro-nickel. The nickel oxide and Ferro-nickel used as alloys are made from oxide materials. Metallic nickel, on the other hand, is generally made from sulphite raw materials. The differences in the raw materials of the products are mainly due to the other components in the raw materials, the benefits of which determine the preferred method of preparation. In addition, impurity concentrations in the raw materials, such as copper, are important to achieve low cost manufacturing.
Sulfidisten materiaalien käytön seosaineena käytetyn ferronikkelin valmistuksessa on estänyt rikin ja esimerkiksi kuparin poiston aiheuttamat ongelmat teräksen valmistuksessa. Nyt esillä olevan keksinnön tarkoituksena on käyttää sulfidista raaka-ainetta teräksen valmistuksessa käytettävän seosainekomponentin, nikkelin, muuttamiseksi soveltuvaan muotoon, ferronikkeliksi ja/tai nikkelioksidiksi. Keksinnön olennaiset tunnusmerkit selviävät oheisista patentti-: vaatimuksista. The use of sulphide materials in the production of ferronickel as an alloying agent has prevented the problems caused by the removal of sulfur and, for example, copper in the production of steel. It is an object of the present invention to use a sulphide raw material for converting the alloy component used in the manufacture of steel, nickel, to a suitable form, ferronickel and / or nickel oxide. The essential features of the invention will become apparent from the appended claims.
Keksinnön mukaisesti sulfidipitoinen seosainekomponentin raaka-aine ensin perkipasutetaan raaka-aineessa olevan rikin poistamiseksi olennaisilta osin sekä raaka-aineessa olevien muiden pääkomponenttien, raudan ja nikkelin, muuttamiseksi * oksidiseen muotoon. Pasutuksesta saatavalle välituotteelle, 2 93975 pasutteelle, suoritetaan haluttaessa valmistaa ferronikkeliä sintraus jatkokäsittelyyn soveltuvan edullisen partikkeli-koon aikaansaamiseksi. Sintrauksesta saatavat pelletit voidaan syöttää suoraan teräksen valmistukseen, mikäli seosainenikkeli halutaan syöttää jatkokäsittelyyn oksidimuodossa. Sintrauksesta saatavat pelletit voidaan myös sulattaa pelkistävissä olosuhteissa ferronikkelituotteen aikaansaamiseksi. Sulatusuunista saatava ferronikkeli edullisesti esimerkiksi granuloidaan. According to the invention, the raw material of the sulphide-containing alloying component is first percolated to substantially remove the sulfur in the raw material and to convert * the other main components in the raw material, iron and nickel, to the oxide form. The roasting intermediate, 2,93975 roast, is subjected to sintering, if desired, to provide a preferred particle size suitable for further processing. The pellets obtained from sintering can be fed directly to the production of steel if it is desired to feed the alloy nickel for further processing in the oxide form. Pellets from sintering can also be melted under reducing conditions to provide a ferronickel product. The ferronickel obtained from the melting furnace is preferably granulated, for example. Although a substantial part of the sulfur content of the raw material is removed during roasting, sulfur may still remain in the granulated product, which can be removed, if necessary, by treatment with, for example, lime and / or calcium carbide.
Keksinnön mukaisesti voidaan siis ferronikkelin valmistusmenetelmän raaka-aineena käyttää sulfidistä materiaalia. Keksinnön mukaisessa menetelmässä ensimmäisenä vaiheena tapahtuva sulfidisen rauta-nikkeli-rikasteen pasutus suoritetaan edullisesti lämpötilassa noin 950 °C niin, että pasutuksesta saatavassa välituotteessa rikin määrä on edullisesti alle 1 p-%. Pasutuksessa syntyvät rikki-dioksidikaasut johdetaan jatkokäsittelyyn esimerkiksi rikkihapon valmistukseen. Pasutteessa ovat rauta ja nikkeli pääosin oksidimuodossa. Thus, according to the invention, a sulfide material can be used as a raw material for the ferronickel production process. In the process according to the invention, the roasting of the sulphidic iron-nickel concentrate as a first step is preferably carried out at a temperature of about 950 ° C, so that the amount of sulfur in the roasting intermediate is preferably less than 1% by weight. The sulfur dioxide gases generated during roasting are led to further processing, for example to the production of sulfuric acid. The roast is iron and nickel mainly in oxide form.
Sulatusuunista saatavaa hiili-monoksidikaasua voidaan edullisesti kierrättää pellettien sintrausvaiheeseen edullisten olosuhteiden aikaansaamiseksi sintrauksessa. From the calcine obtained to produce ferronickel, the calcine is first pelleted to the desired size and the pellets are sintered. The sintered iron-nickel pellets are then fed to a melting furnace, which is preferably, for example, an arc furnace, where the pellets are melted under reducing conditions by means of coal or coke. The carbon monoxide gas from the melting furnace can preferably be recycled to the pellet sintering step to provide favorable conditions for sintering.
Sulatusuunista saatava sulatustuote voidaan granuloida tuotteen jatkokäsittelyä varten tai sulatustuote voidaan suoraan sulana siirtää teräksen valmistukseen. Sulatus- 3 93975 tuotteen jatkokäsittely on olennaisesti riippuvainen tuotteen rikkipitoisuudesta. Mikäli rikkipitoisuus ylittää ennaltamääritetyn rajan, sulatustuotteelle suoritetaan rikinpoisto esimerkiksi kalkkikäsittelyllä ennen sulatus-tuotteen syöttämistä teräksen valmistukseen. The smelting product from the smelting furnace can be granulated for further processing of the product or the smelting product can be transferred directly as a melt to the production of steel. The further processing of the smelting product 3,93975 is essentially dependent on the sulfur content of the product. If the sulfur content exceeds a predetermined limit, the smelting product is desulfurized, for example by lime treatment, before the smelting product is fed to the steel industry.
The invention is described below by means of the following example. However, the example is in no way intended to limit the invention to this example only, but many modifications and variations are possible within the scope defined by the appended claims.
Rauta-nikkeli-sulfidirikaste, joka sisälsi 20,0 p-% nikkeliä, 30,9 p-% rautaa, 30,1 p-% rikkiä, 0,56 p- %kobolttia, 6,3 p-% magnesiumoksidia ja 3,3 p-% piioksidia sekä kuparia ja arseenia alle 1000 ppm, pasutettiin lämpötilassa 950 °C. Pasutuksessa syntyneet rikkidioksidi-pitoiset kaasut, joita syntyi 2000 Nm3/t, johdettiin lämmöntalteenottoon ja kaasupuhdistukseen sekä edelleen-prosessoitavaksi esimerkiksi rikkihapon valmistukseen. Pasute sen sijaan johdettiin sintrauslaitokseen ensin pelletoitavaksi. Pelletointisideaineena käytettiin bento-niittia. Pelletoitu pasute sintrattiin hiilimonoksidia ja hiiltä käyttäen lämpötilassa 1300-1350 °C nauhasintraus-koneella, johon sintrattava pasute syötettiin toisesta : päästä ja otettiin ulos toisesta päästä. Sintrauksen poistokaasuille suoritettiin kaasupuhdistus esimerkiksi rikin poistamiseksi.Iron-nickel sulphide concentrate containing 20.0% by weight of nickel, 30.9% by weight of iron, 30.1% by weight of sulfur, 0.56% by weight of cobalt, 6.3% by weight of magnesium oxide and 3, 3 wt% silica and copper and arsenic less than 1000 ppm, roasted at 950 ° C. The sulfur dioxide-containing gases generated during roasting, which were generated at 2000 Nm3 / t, were led to heat recovery and gas purification, as well as to further processing, for example, the production of sulfuric acid. The calcine, on the other hand, was first fed to a sintering plant for pelletization. Bento rivet was used as the pelletizing binder. The pelletized calcine was sintered using carbon monoxide and carbon at a temperature of 1300-1350 ° C on a strip sintering machine to which the sinterable calcine was fed from one end and taken out from the other end. The sintering exhaust gases were subjected to gas purification to remove sulfur, for example.
The sintered pellets, along with slag formers, sand, and quicklime, were further passed through a preheat treatment to an arc furnace for melting. In the arc furnace, melting took place under reducing conditions using coke as the reducing agent. The slag then obtained from the arc furnace contained 45% by weight of silica, 29% by weight of magnesium oxide, 11% by weight of calcium oxide and 5% by weight of alumina. The ferronickel obtained from the arc furnace contained 37 wt% nickel, 57 wt% iron, 1.0 wt% silicon and 2.5 4,93975 wt% carbon, as well as a small amount of sulfur. For the exhaust gases from the arc furnace, first the removal of solid particles, after which some of the carbon monoxide-containing gases are recycled back to the pellet sintering. The rest of the exhaust gases goes to further purification and then preferably to energy production.
Valokaariuunista saatavan ferronikkelin puhdistamiseksi siinä vielä olevasta rikistä ferronikkelille suoritettiin rikinpoistokäsittely ennen ferronikkelin kuljettamiseksi terästehtaan raaka-aineeksi.In order to purify the ferronickel obtained from the arc furnace from the sulfur still in it, the ferronickel was subjected to a desulfurization treatment before the ferronickel was transported as a raw material to the steel mill.
