Abstract

The invention relates to a process and a device for mixing the compost in a stack. The material is picked up in a bucket 2 of a front-end loader, and the bucket is lifted up and emptied in the upper position through an opening 6 in the side of the bucket using a screw 7 which is built into the bucket. Mixing and aeration take place both with the aid of the screw 7 and by the material flying through the air to the new stack. <IMAGE>
