Abstract

The invention relates to a mud guard for covering a vehicle wheel, on the inside of which a chamber (6) which extends in its longitudinal direction is provided, the said chamber (6) having in an inner wall (8) facing the vehicle wheel inlet openings (10) for water spray thrown up by the vehicle wheel and in a lower region at least one outlet opening (12) for the water; the inner wall (8) here has water guiding faces (20, 22) which are assigned to the inlet openings (10), face the vehicle wheel, tend towards one another in the direction of the inlet openings (10), are integral with the mud guard (2) and are boundary faces of tooth-ribs (24) which extend transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the chamber (6). <IMAGE>
