Claims (15)
1. Förfarande för separat utvinning av nickel och kobolt ur en vattenhaltig sulfatlösning, kännetecknat av stegen där man: 1. extraherar nickel och kobolt ur sulfatlösningen i en or-ganisk lösning av ett katjoniskt extraktionsmedel, nämligen en syra som är löslig i organiskt ämne bäde i form av sin fria syra och me-tallsalt; II. tillbakaextraherar huvudsakligen allt av kobolten ur den resulterande nickel- och kobolt-belastade organiska lösningen i en vattenhaltig tillbakaextraktionslösning innehallande som anjoniskt species en eller bäda av klorid- och tiocyanatjoner, i en tocal kon-centration av minst 3 M, och innehallande som katjoniskt species nickel i en koncentration av minst 0,8 M, med eller utan alkali- eller jordalkalimetallkatjoner eller bäda; III. avskiljer nickel ur den koboltfria organiska lösningen som erhölls i steget II, därigenom regenererande den organiska lösningen för returnering tili steget I; IV. preferentiellt extraherar kobolt ur den nickel- och kobolt- innehallande vattenhaltiga lösningen som erhölls i steget II medelst solvensextraktion eller jonbytning med ett anjoniskt extraktionsmedel; och V. extraherar kobolt ur det anjoniska extraktionsmedlet som användes i steget IV för att erhälla en vattenhaltig fas innehallande kobolten och regenererat extraktionsmedel för returnering tili steget IV.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att det i steget I användna katjoniska extraktionsmedlet upt>- visar en selektivitetsfaktor, S... , som definieras som förhällan- Ni/Co de av kompositionerna av i jämvikt stäende vattenhaltiga och organis-ka faser, som följer: g _ Ni/Co-förhällande i den vattenhaltiga fasen Ni/Co Ni/Co-förhällande i den organiska fasen som inte överskrider 1.
