Abstract
The invention relates to a method for damping the rocking of a ship and to utilizing the energy of the rocking movement. In the process, the rocking of the ship (1) is damped by rotating mass (5) about a vertical axis (4) about a circular path in a direction of rotation and adjusting the position of the mass in relation to the angle of inclination of the ship by braking and promoting the mass in turn. spinning motion and thus bring about a counter-moment to the rocking motion. By adjusting, the rotational movement is kept at 70 - 110 degrees according to the outer positions of the rocking movement from the lowest positions of the corresponding mass.
Description
Menetelmä ja laite aluksen keinumisen vaimentamiseksi ja keinumisliik- keen energian talteen ottamiseksi Keksinnön kohteena on menetelmä aluksen keinumisen vaimentamiseksi ja kei- — numisliikkeen energian talteen ottamiseksi, jossa menetelmässä aluksen keinumista (rolling) vaimennetaan pyörittämällä massaa keinumisen tahdissa pystyakselin ym- päri pitkin ympyränmuotoista rataa yhteen kiestosuuntaan. Keksinnön kohteena on myös laite aluksen keinumisen vaimentamiseksi ja keinumis- — liikkeen energian talteen ottamiseksi, johon laitteeseen kuuluu aluksen keinumista (rolling) vaimentava massa, joka on järjestetty siirreltäväksi keinumisen tahdissa. Aluksen keinumisen vaimentamiseksi on tunnettua siirtää painolastia aluksen puolel- ta toiselle. Painolastina käytetään tyypillisesti vettä, kuten esim. julkaisussa KRThe invention relates to a method for damping the oscillation of a ship and to recovering the energy of the rocking motion, in which the rolling of the ship is damped by rotating the mass at a pace from the vertical axis about a vertical axis. . The invention also relates to a device for damping the rocking of a ship and for recovering the energy of the rocking motion, which device comprises a mass damping the rolling of the ship (Rolling), which is arranged to be moved in step with the rocking motion. In order to dampen the rocking of the ship, it is known to move the ballast from one side of the ship to the other. Water is typically used as a ballast, as in KR
WO 2016/003345 A1 discloses a swing damping arrangement which can produce energy in addition to damping. All of these have the disadvantage of requiring a specially constructed vessel. WO 2016/110610 A1 discloses a control system with which the energy production of a wave power plant can be optimized when the wave power plant is implemented as a combination of a mass rotator and a vortex. DD 157322 discloses a method and apparatus for damping the oscillation of a ship, in which the rolling of the ship (Rolling) is damped by rotating the mass at a rate of oscillation about a vertical axis along a circular path in one direction of rotation. The aim is to keep the phase difference in relation to the rocking of the vessel at 180 degrees, which means that the aim is to dampen the rocking by the weight of the mass alone. In this case, the damping is not the best possible, because the effect of the dynamic movement of the mass 5 on the damping has not been taken into account. The damping power cannot be adjusted. Also, energy recovery of the rocking motion is not z 30 - arranged. It is an object of the invention to provide a method and device for damping the sway of a ship, which can produce energy in addition to adjustable damping and which does not require a specially constructed vessel, but the device can be installed on many types of vessels.
Aluksen pituus on 5 yli 4 kertaa aluksen leveys. The length of the ship is 5 more than 4 times the width of the ship. In this case, the waves coming from the side will roll the platform strongly. This rocking can be damped, i.e. reduced, by the method and device I according to the invention, so that the device is energy-neutral when operating and generates energy under favorable conditions. Under suitable conditions, a device installed on a mobile or oO 2 anchored vessel may also be used as a wave-powered
LO ~ sähkögeneraattorina.LO ~ as an electric generator.
The vertical axis 4 of the device shown in Figures 2 and 3 is arranged in a vertical plane 3 and a mass or weight 5 is eccentrically mounted on the vertical axis 4, which may be a mere mass or a combination of mass and flywheel.
By vertical axis is meant here an axis that is vertical when the vessel is in calm water.
Massaa 5 pyöritetään pystyakse- lin 4 ympäri pitkin ympyrän muotoista rataa yhteen pyörimissuuntaan ja säädetään massan 5 asemaa suhteessa aluksen kallistuskulmaan vuoroin jarruttamalla ja vuo- roin edistämällä massan 5 pyörimisliikettä pystyakselin 4 ympäri siten, että alukseen kohdistuva dynaaminen vastavoima on vaikutukseltaan enimmäkseen keinuntaa vaimentava. The mass 5 is rotated about a vertical axis 4 along a circular path in one direction of rotation and the position of the mass 5 relative to the vessel's heeling angle is adjusted alternately by braking and alternately promoting the rotation of the mass 5 about the vertical axis 4 so that the dynamic counterforce
Tämä saadaan aikaan pitämällä massa 5 sopivassa vaiheessa suhteessa aluksen keinuntaliikkeeseen. This is achieved by keeping the mass 5 at a suitable stage in relation to the rocking motion of the vessel.
Jos aluksen keinunta ajatellaan sinimuotoiseksi liik- keeksi ja massan kiertoliike ajatellaan vakiovauhtiseksi, edullisin vaihe on sellainen, jossa massa on uloimmassa asemassaan pituusakselin suuntaan eteen tai taakse sillä hetkellä, kun keinuntaliike on ääriasemassaan oikealle tai vasemmalle, ja massa 5 kiertää yhden kierroksen samassa ajassa kuin alus heilahtaa kerran molemmille — puolille. If the rocking motion of the vessel is thought to be sinusoidal and the rotational motion of the mass is thought to be constant, the most preferred stage is where the mass is in its outermost position forward or backward in the longitudinal axis at the right or left of its rocking motion and mass 5 rotates one turn at the same time as the vessel swings once on both sides.
This arrangement dampens the rocking motion throughout the cycle with the damping power varying sinusoidally at twice the frequency between zero and maximum.
The damping work is zero only when the oscillation movement turns in its extreme position.
Hyvä vaimennus saadaan aikaiseksi myös tästä vaiheesta hieman poikkeavalla asetuksella, esim. välillä 70-110 astetta, mikäli edullisinta asemaa kut- — sutaan 90 asteen vaihejättämäksi.Good attenuation is also achieved with a setting slightly different from this phase, e.g. between 70-110 degrees, if the most favorable position is called 90 degrees out of phase.
In theory, some attenuation is obtained whenever the phase lag is between 0-180 degrees.
Vaimennuksen määrää voidaan näin ollen säätää.The amount of attenuation can thus be adjusted.
Kuviossa 2 on esitetty järjestely massan 5 aseman aktiiviseksi säätämiseksi.Figure 2 shows an arrangement for actively adjusting the position of the mass 5.
Kaiken — aikaa samaan suuntaan pyörivää sähkökonetta 7 voidaan käyttää ohjauksella moot- o torina tai generaattorina. The electric machine 7 rotating in the same direction at all times can be operated with control as a motor or generator.
Moottorina toimiessaan sähkökone 7 edistää massan 5 O kiertoliikettä pystyakselin 4 ympäri ja generaattorina toimiessaan jarruttaa kiertolii- 5 kettä, jolloin laite tuottaa sähköenergiaa. When acting as a motor, the electric machine 7 promotes the rotation of the mass 5 O about the vertical axis 4 and, acting as a generator, brakes the rotation, whereby the device produces electrical energy.
Jarruttamalla tuotettua energiaa varastoi- 2 daan konvertterin 8 kautta aluksella olevaan sähköakkuun 9, jonka energiaa käyte- I 30 — tään massan 5 pyörimisen edistämiseen. The energy produced by braking is stored via a converter 8 in an electric battery 9 on board, the energy of which is used to promote the rotation of the mass 5.
Varastoitua sähköenergiaa voidaan käyttää > myös vauhtipyörän eli hyrrän pyörittämiseen jos sellainen on järjestetty massan 5 2 yhteyteen. The stored electrical energy can also be used to rotate the flywheel, if any, if it is arranged in connection with the mass 5 2.
Ylimääräistä sähköä voidaan käyttää myös aluksen muihin tarpeisiin. The extra electricity can also be used for other needs of the ship.
Tällä tavoin voidaan optimoida vaimennuksen ja energian tuoton suhdetta olosuhteiden ja tarpeen mukaan.S The converter is controlled by a control unit 10, which receives control parameters from the mass 5 location sensor 11 and the rocker sensor 12. If the mass 5 also has a flywheel, its control speed is also obtained from the speed sensor 13. The control preferably keeps the mass 5 rotation 70-110 degrees. lagging behind (left-left) from the lowest positions of the mass corresponding to the extreme positions of the rocking motion. Figure 4 shows the phase lag of 90 degrees, which is most advantageous for both attenuation and energy production. During one revolution of the pulp, energy is produced by braking the rotational movement preferably two different times and, if necessary, energy is consumed by promoting the rotational movement preferably two different times in turn with the braking. The sensor 12 of the device monitors the degree of rocking of the vessel and the control devices 8-11 synchronize the periods of braking and the promotion of rotation to predetermined points of the heeling of the vessel, the positions of which depend on the degree of heeling. In this way, the ratio of damping to energy output can be optimized according to conditions and need.
Energiaa kulutetaan tyypillisesti välillä 0-30% verrattuna tuotettuun energiaan. Mikäli laite halutaan optimoida myös sähkön tuotantoon, voidaan massan 5 kierto- nopeuden antaa vaihdella yhden kierroksen aikana sopivasti, jotta riittävän vaimen- nuksen ohella sähkön nettotuotto maksimoituu. Pelkällä massalla 5 energian tuotto — on sykkivää. 5 0 Kuviossa 3 on esitetty periaatekuva suoritusmuodosta, jossa on kaksi päällekkäistä z 30 — rotaattoria. Pystyakselin 4 ja massan 5 muodostama ensimmäinen rotaattori vastaa > edellä selostettua. Tämä ensimmäinen rotaattori on laakeroitu aluksen runkoon 20 E laakereilla 18.Tässä järjestelyssä generaattorin 17 staattori 16 pyörii pystyakselin 4 ~ ja massan 5 mukana. Massa 5 on siis yhdistetty generaattorin staattoriin 16 akselin NN 4 välityksellä. Energy is typically consumed between 0-30% compared to the energy produced. If it is also desired to optimize the device for the production of electricity, the rotational speed of the mass 5 can be allowed to vary suitably during one revolution so that, in addition to sufficient damping, the net electricity output is maximized. With a mere mass of 5 energy yield - is pulsating. This can be smoothed out by using a flywheel in connection with the mass 5, the spinning speed of which, by adjusting the energy, makes the energy output almost uniform. By increasing the speed of the flywheel, the damping effect increases, although the sinusoidal nature of the swing remains variable. In this case, the weight of the mass 5 can also be reduced. Without the flywheel, the weight of the mass 5 is less than 10% of the weight of the vessel. With a flywheel, it can be less than 5% of the weight of the vessel. In addition, o the energy of the flywheel can be used to promote the rotation of the rotator 4, 5 and the braking energy of S can accelerate the speed of the flywheel. Figure 3 shows a schematic diagram of an embodiment with two overlapping z 30 rotators. The first rotator formed by the vertical shaft 4 and the mass 5 corresponds to that described above. This first rotator is mounted on the hull 20 E of the vessel by bearings 18. In this arrangement, the stator 16 of the generator 17 rotates with the vertical axis 4 ~ and the mass 5. The mass 5 is thus connected to the generator stator 16 via the shaft NN 4. The mass 15 of the second rotator is connected to the rotor 14 of the generator - so that they rotate together around the vertical axis 4. The mass 15 and the generator rotor 14 are mounted by bearings 19 on the vertical shaft 4. This arrangement gives the generator 17 twice the speed so that it becomes smaller, lighter and cheaper. The disadvantages are a slightly more complicated structure, additional bearings and a slip ring 21 which electrically connects the generator stator 16 to the converter. The masses 5 and 5 15 are arranged to rotate in opposite directions, as illustrated in Figure 5. Thus, the masses pass each other twice during a revolution and are on opposite sides of the vertical axis pointing in opposite directions twice during a revolution. Thus, both masses operate in basically the same way even if the directions of rotation are opposite.
Vaimennusta voidaan olennaisesti tehostaa sijoittamalla massan painopisteen kierto- radan taso olennaisen matkan verran aluksen keinunta-akselin yläpuolelle. The damping can be substantially enhanced by placing the plane of the center of gravity of the center of gravity a substantial distance above the rocking axis of the vessel. This distance is at least Va from the height of the ship, preferably at least 1/3 or even above the ship, on the upper deck. In this case, the torque associated with the power output and the braking or acceleration forces on the mass, which have an essential component in the transverse direction of the vessel, effectively affect the rocking motion. The position of the mass with respect to the vertical plane 3 also has an effect on the damping, but this effect is rather small. The centrifugal force caused by the mass also affects the rocking of the vessel the higher the mass is relative to the rocking axis. In addition, the damping is affected by the fact that the plane of orbit of the center of gravity of the mass tends to maintain its direction (vortex effect).
