PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE ACIDOS ANTRANILICOS SUSTITUIDOS CON RADICALES BASICOS Y DE SUS SALES FISIOLOGICAMENTE COMPATIBLES, DE FORMULA (I), EN LA QUE R ES FURILO, TIENILO O FENILO. CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE SAPONIFICACION DE UN NITRILO DE FORMULA (II), EN LA QUE R ES EL MISMO QUE EN LA FORMULA (I). LA SAPONIFICACION SE LLEVA A CABO CON LEJIA DE SOSA O DE POTASA ACUOSAS EN EXCESO A LA TEMPERATURA DE REFLUJO DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION. EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO SE PRECIPITA A PH 3-4 EN FORMA DE ACIDO CARBOXILICO, QUE DESPUES DE PURIFICAR POR RESCRISTALIZACION SE TRANSFORMA EN LA SAL CORRESPONDIENTE. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS COMO SALIDIURETICOS PARA TRATAMIENTO DE EDEMAS Y DE HIPERTONIAS.
