CONSISTE EN PROPAGAR AEROBIAMENTE "ACETOBACTER CERINUS" EN UN MEDIO DE FERMENTACION QUE CONTIENE D-GLUCOSA A UNA CONCENTRACION INICIAL SUPERIOR AL 20 POR 100 E INFERIOR AL 30 POR 100 P/V Y COLINA EN PROPORCION DE 0,04 A 0,1 POR 100, REFERIDO A LA CANTIDAD INICIAL DE D-GLUCOSA; MEDIO QUE SE MANTIENE A UN PH COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 5 Y 6 POR ADICION DE HIDROXIDO SODICO Y A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 25 Y 30 GC. ESTE COMPUESTO ES UTIL COMO INTERMEDIO PARA LA OTENCION DE ACIDO ASCORBICO.
