PROCEDIMIENTO DE FABRICACION DE CLINKER. CONSTA DE LAS SIGUIENTES FASES : 1. CALENTAMIENTO DE LA MATERIA PRIMA, CONTENIENDO SILICATO TRICALCIO, DICALCIO, MONOCALCICO O ESCORIAS, HASTA LA DESCARBONATACION DEL CARBONATO DE CALCIO. DICHO CALENTAMIENTO ES AYUDADO POR EL EMPLEO DE GASES QUE CIRCULAN EN CONTRACORRIENTE CON LAS MATERIAS PRIMAS. 2. NUEVA ELEVACION DE LA TEMPERATURA EN PRESENCIA DE UNA CANTIDAD REDUCIDA DE GAS SEGUIDA DE ENFRIAMIENTO, SIENDO ENVIADOS LOS GASES SOBRE EL PRODUCTO EN EL CURSO DE LA PRIMERA FASE. LA TEMPERATURA ALCANZADA EN LA SEGUNDA FASE ES SUPERIOR A 1.500 GC, OBTENIENDOSE LA FUSION DE MAS DEL 80 POR 100 DEL MATERIAL; EN DICHA FASE SE EMPLEA UN HORNO DE PLASMA ATRAVESADO POR EL PRODUCTO A TRATAR; LOS GASES SALIENTES ARRASTRAN LAS IMPUREZAS DEL PRODUCTO. EL HORNO DE PLASMA ES UN HORNO ROTATORIO CUYO EJE ESTA INCLINADO EN 3 A 60 G. RESPECTO A LA HORIZONTAL.
