Abstract

Un método para la preparación de un producto de almidón hidroabsorbente, caracterizado porque una dispersión acuosa de almidón, agua, iniciador de radicales libres y monómero etilenicamente no-saturado, el cual monómero consta esencialmente de monómero que tiene un punto de ebullición de al menos 100ºC, se polimeriza y seca simultáneamente a una temperatura por encima de 100ºC para proporcionar un producto de almidón hidroabsorbente seco o un precursor del mismo.
