Abstract

Un procedimiento para obtener un nuevo antibiótico anti tumoral, la auromomicina, que comprende las operaciones de cultivar de forma aerobia un microorganismo del género strptomyces macromyceticus en un medio nutriente asimililable, someter el caldo de cultivo a una serie de tratamientos que comprenden intercambio de iones, filtración de gel, separación por efecto salino y cromatografía hidrófoba, en donde se hace una solución que contiene auromocina, saturada en no más del 40% con sulfato amónico, y esta solución se aplica sobre una resina hidrófoba, seguido por elución con soluciones de sulfato amónico acuosas de concentraciones gradientemente decrecientes a partir de la concentración en dicha etapa de adsorción, con lo que se obtienen fracciones de auromocina antes de que se eluyan fracciones de macromomicina y recuperar auromomicina en forma pura a partir de las fracciones de auromomicina.
