Abstract

Procedimiento para mejorar la actividad de catalizadores portadores de plata usados destinados a la oxidación directa de etileno en óxido de etileno con oxígeno molecular o aire, mediante la aplicación de 1 a 1.000 partes de cesio y/o rubidio por cada millón de partes de catalizador sobre el catalizador ya consumido para la oxidación directa, con un líquido de impregnación que contenga compuestos de cesio y/o rubidio, caracterizado porque la aplicación se efectúa en dos o más pasos, acoplándose el catalizador después de cada paso del tratamiento nuevamente para la obtención de óxido de etileno mediante la oxidación directa de etileno con oxígeno molar o aire.
