Abstract

Procedimiento y aparato para recubrir un conductor con un copolímero termoplástico, en donde se hace avanzar el conductor que tiene un núcleo y una pluralidad de cintas conductoras flexibles envueltas alrededor del mismo y se extruye una cubierta aislante en relación espaciada envolvente con el conductor en avance; caracterizándose el procedimiento porque comprende extruir la cubierta a una temperatura de extruido superior al punto de fusión del copolímero, pero tan cerca como sea posible a dicho punto de fusión; expansionar el extruido hacia el exterior del conductor, durante un tiempo predertimano para enfriar el copolímero e iniciar el crecimiento cristalino del copolímero; y disponer la cubierta aislante concéntricamente alrededor del conductor, mientras se enfría adicionalmente la cubierta aislante.
