Abstract

Un conjunto perfeccionado de llanta y cubierta neumática de telas radiales que comprende: (a) una llanta que incluye un par de superficies de asiento de talón anulares espaciadas, una primera superficie de registro anular que se extiende en general radialmente hacia fuera desde el borde axialmente externo de cada superficie de asiento de talón, y una superficie de pestaña estabilizadora anular que se extiende en general axialmente hacia fuera desde el borde radialmente externo de cada una de dichas primeras superficies de registro anulares; (b) una cubierta neumática del tipo de periferia interna abierta que tiene una parte de banda de rodamiento, un par de partes de pared lateral, un par de partes de talón axialmente espaciadas entre sí, cada una de las cuales tiene un núcleo de talón inextensible anular, una estructura de esqueleto de cordones inextensibles que se entiende continuamente desde un núcleo de talón al otro núcleo de talón y que tiene una línea de contorno neutro, y una estructura de cinturón circunferencialmente extendida que está dispuesta circunferencialmente alrededor de dicha tela de esqueleto; y (c) una segunda superficie de registro anular que se extiende desde el borde axialmente externo de dicha superficie de pestaña estabilizadora y que tiene una configuración arqueada de tal naturaleza que la separación, entre dicha estructura de esqueleto y la llanta, es substancialmente constante en el área de la superficie de pestaña estabilizadora y es menor en el área de la segunda superficie de registro de talón que en el área de la superficie de pestaña estabilizadora.
