"Improvements in apparatus for removing settled bodies of particulate materials capable of forming mixtures with liquids" characterized in that said apparatus includes the combination of a housing, means for moving said housing approaching and away from said material body and for placing the housing inside of the material, a nozzle means carried by the housing to direct a jet of liquid from the housing that gives into the material and forms a mixture with it, a mechanically driven pump incorporated into the housing to pump the mixture to an area remote from the housing, said pump having a suction inlet that opens in a generally downward direction from said housing, an eductor positioned substantially vertically below and in series with said pump to direct more liquid in a generally upward direction to said inlet suction, a neck duct mounted between the adductor and the suction inlet and means for supplying pressurized water to said nozzles and to said eductor.
