Process for obtaining aqueous dispersions of wire varnish, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: 1) a solution is prepared consisting of (a) 70 to 10% by weight of a polyester or polyether with a hydroxyl number above 20 and, (b) 30 to 90 weight percent of at least one encapsulated polyisocyanate, the mixture being dispersed in the form of particles with an average diameter of between 0.05 and 2 μm in water, as well as, if appropriate, an auxiliary dispersing agent and other additives, in an organic solvent with a freezing point of between 30 and -50º c; 2) this solution is solidified by cooling; 3) the solvent is removed under reduced pressure by sublimation; 4) the solid product, mechanically free, is crumbled and; 5) the powder obtained, if appropriate together with additives, is dispersed in water.
