A hydraulic motor comprising a rotatable piston and cylinder assembly to provide the motor output drive by the action of pressurized fluid supplied to and evacuated from the cylinders through an annular port arrangement in a stationary portion of the housing of the engine, in which a separate port ring is provided between said assembly and said casing part, said ring being arranged to rotate with said assembly and defining openings that communicate said cylinders with said ports.
