Abstract

Improvements in fuel supply devices for internal combustion engines, which have, on the one hand, in their intake duct, upstream of a main throttle member actuated by the driver, an auxiliary throttle member that opens automatically and progressively as the air flow in said duct increases, on the other hand, a source of fuel under pressure whose drive circuit, which empties into the part of the intake duct located downstream of the main throttle member, is controlled by at least by a valve actuated by an electromagnet and, finally, by a dosing system that, provided with a rotating member capable of being moved with a continuous rotational movement, is capable of sending this electromagnet at least one signal of excitation for a fraction of each turn of said rotary member which is adjusted by this and system, this system being arranged so that said fraction increases as the opening of the auxiliary throttle member increases and vice versa, said fuel source under pressure being constituted by a fuel pump in whose drive circuit a first regulator of pressure comprising a discharge valve that tends to open towards a discharge space under the action of the pump's delivery pressure and to close under the action of the depression that prevails in the section of the intake duct between its two throttling, characterized in that the pump drive circuit (13) has, upstream of the first pressure regulator (17), a second pressure regulator (21) comprising, on the one hand, a discharge valve (27) which tends to open towards the first regulator (17) under the action of the impulsion pressure of the pump (13) and to close under the action of means elastics (29) and, on the other hand, a channel (37) that surrounds this latter discharge valve (27) and controlled by means (38-43, 51) subjected in such a way to the command of the engine starter that this channel (37) is closed when the starter is in action, thanks to which the second regulator (21) then intervenes only to increase the injection pressure.
