Abstract

A breaker device that includes a fixed contact, a movable contact, a cranked shaft rotatable about a first axis, a closing spring operatively connected to said cranked shaft, a ratchet wheel on said cranked shaft, rotatable with said cranked shaft about said first axis, a reciprocating member having a ratchet and supported to actuate said pawl to advance said ratchet wheel by reciprocating movement thereof, characterized by a motor comprising an output shaft and which is supported with the output shaft rotating about a second axis perpendicular to a plane in which said first axis is located, and cam means in said output shaft operating by rotation of said output shaft to drive said movement member in swinging to advance said ratchet wheel to, therefore, load said closing spring.
